Updated 2026-10-15: the app was renamed from Hercules to KineticHabit.

KineticHabit is an Android app for tracking calories and macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat). This document explains what the app stores, where it stores it, and how you can delete it. The Vietnamese version has the same content.

1. Summary

  • Your health and eating data stays on your phone only. It is not sent to a server.
  • Signing in with Google is optional. When you sign in, the server stores the Google ID, email, name and profile picture of that account.
  • There are two ways to delete your account: the “Delete account” button in the app, and the “Delete account” web page at https://kinetichabit.com/en/delete-account/.
  • Deleting an account requires an internet connection.
  • If you are not signed in, you delete the data on your phone by uninstalling the app or clearing the app’s data in Android settings.
  • KineticHabit is aimed at people aged 18 or older; the app does not block users by age.
  • KineticHabit is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. KineticHabit is only a support tool. AI features are for reference only and may be inaccurate.

2. Health and eating data stays on your phone

The following data is stored only on your phone, not on KineticHabit servers:

  • your profile and goals;
  • the meals you log;
  • the foods and dishes you create;
  • weight and water intake;
  • streaks and badges;
  • your settings in the app.

KineticHabit does not back up to the cloud automatically. Nutrition data for common foods (from USDA) ships inside the app, so searching those foods works offline and sends nothing out.

3. Google sign-in (optional) and what the server stores

You can use KineticHabit without signing in. In the current version, signing in is voluntary, from the “Account” section in Settings. Google sign-in is only requested when a feature needs the server.

Once you are signed in, the KineticHabit server (hosted on Supabase) stores the Google profile of that account:

  • Google ID (the account identifier);
  • email;
  • name;
  • profile picture.

If you are not signed in, the server stores no account or personal data linked to you. The health and eating data in section 2 is not part of what the server stores.

4. Signing out

The app has a “Sign out” button. After you sign out, the app works as if you had not signed in, until you sign in again. Signing out, or switching to a different Google account, does not change the health data on your phone. Signing out does not delete your account; to delete it, see section 5.

5. Deleting your account and your data

5.1. Two ways to delete your account

Only the account that is currently signed in can be deleted. There are two ways:

  1. In the app: the “Delete account” button (shown only while you are signed in). Tap it, read the confirmation popup, then confirm. The account on the server is deleted and the health data on your phone is deleted, then the app signs you out. To use the app with an account again, you sign in as a new user.
  2. On the web: the “Delete account” page at https://kinetichabit.com/en/delete-account/ (Vietnamese version: https://kinetichabit.com/xoa-tai-khoan/). You sign in with Google, read the confirmation popup, then confirm. You do not need to install the app. Deleting on the web only deletes the account on the server; the health data on your phone stays as it is. The next time the app is online and finds that the account has been deleted, it signs you out, keeps the data on your phone and shows a short notice that the account has been deleted.

A link to the “Delete account” page is also in the footer of every landing page.

5.2. Deleting an account requires internet

Both ways need an internet connection. Without one, the app (or the web page) shows an error and you try again later; nothing is deleted in the meantime. KineticHabit does not remember a deletion request to send later, so no request is ever left waiting.

5.3. If you are not signed in

You do not need to sign in, and no account is created, just to delete your data. Your data is on your phone, so you delete it by:

  • uninstalling the KineticHabit app; or
  • clearing the app’s data in Android settings.

The app has no separate “Delete data” button.

6. Open Food Facts

When you scan a barcode to look up a food, the app looks that barcode up on Open Food Facts (an open food database run by a third party). This needs an internet connection. Open Food Facts receives the barcode you scanned and the IP address of your connection. How Open Food Facts handles that data is governed by its own policies.

If the barcode is not found, you create the food yourself and attach the code; that food is stored only on your phone.

7. Camera permission

The app asks for camera permission to scan barcodes (section 6). You can deny or withdraw the permission in Android settings; the rest of the app keeps working, you just cannot scan barcodes.

8. Age

KineticHabit is aimed at people aged 18 or older (the target audience declared on Google Play). The app does not block users by age.

9. Exporting your data

You can export the data you entered and your settings to a file, and import that file on another phone. You can also export your data as a CSV file. A file is created only when you choose to export; KineticHabit does not send it anywhere on its own.

10. Contact

If you have questions about this policy, email [email protected].

Note: account deletion requests are not accepted by email. Use one of the two ways in section 5.1.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date.
