KineticHabit Terms of Use
Effective date: 2026-10-15
Updated 2026-10-15: the app was renamed from Hercules to KineticHabit.
1. Acceptance of the terms
KineticHabit (the “app”) is an Android app that helps you track your health, calories and macronutrients (macros) from data you enter yourself. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
How we handle personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. The app is not a substitute for medical advice
KineticHabit is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. KineticHabit is only a support tool. AI features are for reference only and may be inaccurate.
KineticHabit only provides information for you to track and use as a reference. KineticHabit does not calculate, suggest or recommend calorie or macro targets for you; if you set a target in Settings, it is a number you enter yourself.
The app is not a medical device and does not replace the advice, diagnosis or treatment of a doctor, dietitian or other health professional. Please consult a qualified professional before changing your diet or exercise, or if you have a health condition, are pregnant, take medication or have an underlying illness. Every decision about your health is your own.
3. Age
KineticHabit is aimed at people aged 18 or older; this is the target audience we declare on Google Play. The app does not block users by age and does not ask you to confirm your age. KineticHabit is a support tool and does not replace medical advice (section 2).
4. Your health data stays on your device
Your health and eating data (profile, meals, your food and dish library, weight, water, streaks and badges) is stored only on your phone and is not sent to KineticHabit servers. KineticHabit does not back up automatically to the cloud.
You are therefore responsible for backing up your own data:
- Use the data export function in the app to save a file, and import that file to restore your data when you change phones. The app can also export your data as a CSV file.
- Uninstalling the app, clearing the app’s data in Android settings, or losing or damaging your phone can cause the data on the device to be lost. If you have not exported your data, we have no copy to restore for you.
5. Google account (optional) and sign-out
You can use the app to log meals by hand, track and view your history without signing in. The app asks you to sign in only when a feature needs a server. In the current version, signing in is voluntary: you tap “Sign in with Google” yourself in the “Account” section of Settings.
When you sign in, the server stores the Google ID, email, name and profile picture of that Google account (details are in the Privacy Policy).
- Sign out: you can sign out at any time with the “Sign out” button. After signing out, the app works as it does when you are not signed in, until you sign in again.
- Switch account: you can sign in with a different Google account; the app will use that account.
- Signing out or switching account does not change the health data on your device.
6. Deleting your account
You have two ways to delete your account. Both need an internet connection, and you can delete only the account that is currently signed in.
Option 1: in the app. While signed in, go to the “Account” section in Settings, tap “Delete account” and confirm in the dialog that lists what will be deleted. When you confirm, the app deletes your account on the server and deletes the health and eating data on this phone, then signs you out. To use the app with an account again, you sign in as a new user.
Option 2: on the web, no app needed. Go to the “Delete account” page: https://kinetichabit.com/en/delete-account/ , sign in with your Google account, press the delete button and confirm in the dialog. This option deletes only your account on the server; the health data on your phone is kept. The next time the app has a connection and notices that the signed-in account has been deleted, it signs you out automatically, keeps the data on the device and shows a short notice that the account has been deleted. The page shows “Deleted” only when the deletion has actually succeeded; otherwise it shows an error so you can try again.
Please note:
- With no connection, or if an error occurs, the deletion is not carried out and nothing changes; no deletion request is saved to be sent later. You need to try again when you are online.
- KineticHabit does not accept account deletion requests by email.
- If you are not signed in, the server has no account of yours. To delete the data on your device, uninstall the app or clear the app’s data in Android settings.
7. Nutrition data is for reference only
Nutrition data in the app comes from third-party sources: the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) food database and Open Food Facts (when you scan a barcode). Vietnamese names of USDA foods are translated and may not be accurate. Calorie and macro values are for reference only and may be missing, inaccurate or different from the actual product you use. You can add your own foods with your own values; you are responsible for the values you enter.
8. Features that need an internet connection
Manual entry, history, and weight and water logging work offline. Barcode scanning (lookup on Open Food Facts), signing in and deleting your account need an internet connection.
9. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. The new version is published on the KineticHabit Terms of Use page with a new effective date. If you keep using the app after the new effective date, you are deemed to accept the update.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam.
